Porcelain or All Ceramic Crowns

A crown is a tooth shaped cap that is placed over a tooth covering the tooth to restore it's shape and size, strength, and to improve its appearance.  The crown, when cemented into place, fully encases the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line.  All porcelain crowns are the best choice for front teeth and for individuals with metal allergies.

Why is a crown needed ?

  • To protect a weak tooth from breaking

  • To hold together a cracked tooth

  • To restore an already broken tooth

  • To cover and support a tooth with a large filling where there isn't a lot of tooth left

Inlays / Onlays

Many of my patients prefer the esthetics of white natural looking teeth.  What this means to me as a dentist is dental work that is undetected and esthetic to the naked eye. With so many advances in cosmetic dental procedures this is now possible.  One of these great advances is the advent of esthetic inlays. An inlay is a resin or ceramic restoration, which is fitted into your tooth.  When replacing mercury-containing fillings, the mercury laden filling is removed and our patients have choices:

  • fabricate the inlay inhouse (our same-day dentistry service) and receive placement

  • follow traditional service and return for placement once the fabricated inlay is available

Same Day Dentistry

Our Briarcliff Manor Office is leading edge dentistry in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.  We are the Premiere Dental office in Westchester County, New York and offer our patients Same-Day Dentistry.  Same-Day Dentistry is cleaner, and healthier for you, the patient.

The Unique Difference of Same-Day Dentistry

Traditional dentistry requires the use of messy impressions as aides to craft crowns, inlay/onlays and veneers.  The traditional dentist has to make temporary crowns while your restoration is sent to a dental laboratory which may take several weeks to create.  The patient returns to the dental office and the dentist inserts the restoration. There are times that an adjustment must be made to the restoration that would require returning it to the laboratory thus making for more treatment time for the dentist and patient.

We are not the Traditional Dental Office.  We are much more.

Our patients have a choice - Same-Day Dentistry at our Briarcliff Manor location.

Periodontal Treatment

Non-Surgical Treatments for Soft-Tissue and Tooth Preservation

Soft tissue (gum) inflammation or periodontal conditions (bone loss) require ongoing therapy to lessen the chance of more serious conditions developing.

Soft tissue is what supports and surrounds the teeth and can be seen with the naked eye.  This is gum.  Gum is the cushion between the teeth.  The gums must remain healthy to support the teeth.  Gums are examined for signs of possible disease.

Non-surgical treatments include deep cleaning-scaling and root planing.  These treatments are scheduled with a registered dental hygienist and may require one or more recurring appointments.
